Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies freight-class-calculator.us uses, and how you can control them. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They help websites remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and — where applicable — deliver relevant advertising. Some cookies are “session” cookies (deleted when you close your browser); others are “persistent” (kept until they expire or you delete them).
Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies — currently in use
These are essential for the site to function — for example, remembering your cookie-consent choice and keeping the site secure. The site cannot operate properly without them, so they cannot be disabled.
Functional / Preference Cookies — currently in use
We may use these to remember choices you make on the calculator, such as your preferred unit system (inches/pounds or centimeters/kilograms), so you don’t have to reselect it on every visit. These cookies do not identify you personally.
Analytics Cookies — currently in use
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate usage — for example, which pages and tools visitors use most — so we can improve the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information in aggregated form. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising Cookies — not currently in use
We do not currently display advertising and set no advertising cookies. If we enable advertising in the future (for example, Google AdSense), third-party advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites and to measure ad performance. We will update this section when that changes. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
Managing Your Consent
When you first visit our site, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time through your browser settings, listed below.
How to Control Cookies in Your Browser
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and website data
- Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies
Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of our site from working correctly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our practices — particularly if we enable advertising. Please check this page occasionally for updates.
