Our freight class calculator provides a density-based estimate of your NMFC freight class, using the current NMFTA density scale. This estimate is for informational purposes only. Your LTL carrier determines your actual freight class at the time of shipment, and that determination may differ from our estimate based on stowability, handling, or liability factors our calculator does not evaluate.

You are responsible for confirming your exact freight class with your carrier before shipping, especially for fragile, high-value, hazardous, or unusually shaped freight. We are not responsible for reclassification fees, rate differences, delayed shipments, or any other cost or consequence resulting from reliance on our estimate.
